Deepak Chopra Quotes

Be happy for no reason, like a child. If you are happy for a reason, you’re in trouble, because that reason can be taken from you.

Words can wound or heal. The purpose of speech must always be to create joy in the listener.

To bring yourself love and happiness, do what you can to bring them to others.

Base your happiness on being real, not on illusions and expectations.

Because I always have a choice, I choose love.

Treat every moment as a gift, that is why it is called the present.

When you begin to meditate on a regular basis, you will start to notice that thoughts and feelings that may have been building up inside of you are gently released and you reach the quiet place that was always there, waiting for you- the place of pure awareness. It is there that you will experience peace, healing, and true rejuvenation.

I am perfect as I am. Everything in my life is working just the way it should. I am loved, and I am love.

The key to lasting happiness is to stop looking for it, and to know that you already have it.

The mind and the body are like parallel universes. Anything that happens in the mental universe must leave tracks in the physical one

You and I are infinite choice-makers. In every moment of our existence, we are in that field of all possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices. Some of these choices are made consciously, while others are made unconsciously. But the best way to understand and maximize the use of karmic law is to become consciously aware of the choices we make every moment.

If you want to be happy, make someone else happy. If you want to find the right person in your life, be the right person. If you want to see change in the world, become the change you want to see.

No matter what the situation, remind yourself “I have a choice.”

The quality of one’s life depends on the quality of attention. Whatever you pay attention to will grow more important in your life. There is no limit to the kinds of changes that awareness can produce.

There is a light within each of us that can never be diminished or extinguished. It can only be obscured by forgetting who we are

To define yourself is to limit yourself. Without labels you remain the infinite being.

The fifty trillion cells in your body are constantly talking to each other as they keep your heart beating, digest your food, eliminate toxins, protect you from infection and disease, and carry out the countless other functions that keep you alive. While these processes may seem out of your conscious control, hundreds of studies have shown that nothing holds more power over the body than the mind.

One of the unique things about the human brain is that it can do only what it thinks it can do. The minute you say ‘my memory isn’t what it used to be’ or ‘I can’t remember a thing today.’ You are actually training your brain to live up to your diminished expectations.

Take responsibility for your last bad decision, and then let it go. Don’t blame others or make excuses for yourself.

All great changes are preceded by chaos.

Negative emotions are like unwelcome guests. Just because they show up on our doorstep doesn’t mean they have a right to stay.

In the process of letting go you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself.

I will practice acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.

Pain in the present is experienced as hurt. Pain in the past is remembered as anger. Pain in the future is perceived as anxiety. Unexpressed anger, redirected against yourself and held within, is called guilt. The depletion of energy that occurs when anger is redirected inward creates depression.

Be willing to redefine yourself every day.
